What is Reflexology?
Reflexology involves a technique whereby the feet are manipulated, in order to improve circulation, ease pain, and increase relaxation in the body. It is based on the theory that there are ‘reflex’ areas in the hands and feet that correspond to all of the organs, glands and other parts of the body. By stimulating the relevant 'reflex' points, reflexology can aid in the release of congestion, allowing the body's natural healing process to begin. During a Reflexology treatment endorphins are released into the bloodstream easing aches and pains, promoting a feeling of deep relaxation and balance to those being treated.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM A REFLEXOLOGY TREATMENT
During a treatment, you will be fully clothed whilst lying flat, and facing upwards, with your feet exposed. For the initial treatment there will be a full and confidential consultation. This will include information about medical history, any medication you may be taking, general health, fitness and lifestyle.
Work then begins on the feet, or hands if necessary, noting any imbalances in the relevant reflex areas. Following the initial consultation a full treatment usually lasts about an hour. A course of treatments may be recommended depending on your body’s needs.
